We are at the at the National Research Center have various experiences , beside our agriculture division we have medicine division and another divisions on all branches of science . All these divisions could cooperate with our project to make rural development in the area of northern west coast of the mediterranean located in Egypt .
Improving barley production in the northern west coast in Egypt . Barley is a very important grain in the world today. It is very versatile in every way. It has been well adapted through its evolution. Now however, barely has become well known and so have its many uses. Barley, which is of the genus Hordeum, is a cereal that belongs to the grass family Poaceae. Barley has many different varieties. The most common is Hordeum vulgare, which is a six-rowed type of barley that has a spike notched on opposite sides with three spikelets on each notch. At each notch there is a flower or floret that later develops into a kernel. Barley is very adaptable to various environments. In fact, it is the most adaptable of the cereals. Barley is an annual grass that has two growing seasons, winter and spring. . Barley also has a very good resistance to dry heat compared to other small grains. This feature allows it to grow near desert areas such as North Africa. Barley contains some substances increase immunity in human body. Barley is widely and is currently a major crop of the temperat and tropical areas. Barley ( Hordeum vulgare L.) is the main cereal crop grown in the rainfed areas of Egypt . It occupies about 300,000 feddans ( c . 126000 ha) in the Northwest coast . Epanding the agricultural land base to the drier arable land in Egypt , ÔÇ£ especially the north . west costal region is becoming a necessity to meet the food demands of the growing population . Northwest coast . more desert areas , either sandy or calcareous, have to be put under cultivation. Such soils are poor with respect to their physico-bio-chemical properties, soil water ÔÇô plant relationships as well as their nutritional status . Reclamation and land utilization of such soils are faced by several difficulties Under such severe conditions, desired yield levels are difficult to attain. Proper management of these calls for specialized approaches for sustainable productivity. The practical proper management using organic or inorganic chemical amendments. . The aim of this proposal is to improving barley production in the North ÔÇô west coastal of Egypt by using agronomic treatments and other treatments such as organic manure to satisfy the local demand and export to europe. Egyption Bedouins in the north-west coastal used to cultivate barley with very primerval methods. The forseen impact of the project is to improve the methods and the treatments to cultivate barley with recent activity and recovery of some substances usefull for immunity for human body . The direct cntact with those people may elaborate their life completely.

TThe IBBT (www.ibbt.be) is an independent research institute that performs multidisciplinary research on information and communication technology (ICT). The IBBT is unique in Flanders in its combination of technological, social-scientific and legal knowledge. The IBBT projects are joint collaborations between universities, companies, organisations, and governments in order to achieve innovation. The IBBT unites 14 research groups from different Flemish universities. These research groups are complementary in expertise, excellent in their field of expertise and have a long tradition of co-operation with companies for result driven research. The Wireless & Cable (WiCa) group is one of the member research institutes of the IBBT and is part of the Information Technology department. Current research domains of the WiCa group are on both ends of the OSI stack. At one end we have a high expertise in propagation models, wireless measurements and absorption of radiation in the human body. On the other side of the OSI stack WiCa researches the user and interaction with information systems. This involves the design of interactive applications, creating personalised experiences and evaluating and measuring the user experience. This includes intensive data logging of user profile data, behaviour, applications usage and subjective perception of the services. WiCa has worked closely together with many different companies in Flanders during the last few years, such as Alcatel-Bell, Barco, Base, Belgacom, Framatome Connectors International, Mobistar, Philips, Proximus and Telenet. Such contract research was concerned primarily with the physical characteristics of cable and wireless systems, including networks. WiCa participated in a whole series of European projects, amongst others within the framework of Eureka, a pan-European network of market-oriented industrial research and similar development projects.

The UNINOVA (Institute for the Development of New Tecnologies) is a non-profit University-Enterprise association, that was formed in 1986 by the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the New University of Lisbon (FCT-UNL), the Portuguese Industrial Association (AIP), the Professional Training and Employment Institute (IEFP), a financial holding (IPE) and other 30 companies.

The main theme of UNINOVA is to pursue scientific research, technical development, high level training and the creation of new technological innovation centers and small size industries. UNINOVA's facilities are located at the campus of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology (Quinta da Torre).

All those structures were totally financed by industrial partners and portuguese institutions for R&D promotion and by the government itself, namely on the behalf of the PEDIP Program (Specific Program for the Development of Portuguese Industry).

In 1988 the UNINOVA was recognised as a proper member of the IASP (International Association of Science Parks), due to the perfect symbiosis verified between this institution and the Faculty itself, which is in total agreement with the parameters accepted by the European Community and the OCDE.This symbiosis is more remarkable in terms of geographic proximity and the model of financing followed during the implementation of UNINOVA.

One of the most important projects for UNINOVA and FCT is the Science and Technology Park, which is composed by two main components, the Science Park (high-level teaching, basic and applied research functions) and the Technology Park (a space specially designed for the allocation of companies facilities during their incubation period).

Besides, UNINOVA is integrated in an industrial and technological development pole of Setubal District (OID/PS) and SOSET (Regional Development Society).

FACTSHEET – Research Institute of the Viennese Red Cross What kind of services or support does a person need both today and in the future facing his or her workplace, age or even sickness? The Research Institute of the Viennese Red Cross broadly approaches and discriminatingly deals with relevant societal problems and – in cooperation with its partners – works on developing creative and innovative solutions. Our central concern and also integral part of all our activities is to guarantee the transfer of project results back into the practical context of health and social services. Theory and practical experience go hand in hand in order to assure the quality of our research. Our Institute is currently participating in national and international research projects and programmes. The Research Institute of the Viennese Red Cross works in four research fields:  Rescue and emergency care Quick and competent medical care for emergency patients is one of the core competences of the Red Cross. Research studies aim at pointing out possibilities to increase the well- being of the patient during transportation with the help of new technologies (e.g. acupressure, oxygen, thermal cover) and how their state of health can better be monitored and improved. Outcome- studies (e.g. laymen defibrillation) make a relevant contribution to the further development of immediate life-saving measures.  Care Demographic change leads to a range of alterations in the final stage of one’s life and to die in a dignified way with the respective care and attendance is one of our main focuses. Our Institute aims at analysing and developing solutions for these changes.  Labour market, employment and volunteer services Our research also focuses on unemployment and its consequences, reintegration and integration of people seeking employment, empowerment and age management. Due to demographic change, the age group of people over 60 years needs to find meaningful fields of activity in the context of „active ageing“.  Health promotion and prevention Due to expanding costs in the health sector new strategies will be required in the near future. Health promotion first of all aims at strengthening one’s health potential and secondly at reducing health-weakening factors, on an individual basis as well as in one’s personal living and working conditions. Our research activities centre around workplace health promotion and health promotion for older people.
