ICT 2008 :: Networking :: Open call for networking proposals

PROPOSE A NETWORKING SESSION! Call for networking proposals open

What are Networking Sessions?

The Networking Sessions at ICT 2008 complement the conference and exhibition and provide an open forum for exchanging views and ideas on how to address current ICT challenges. Networking sessions encourage forward-thinking collaborative initiatives that support the development of the European Research Area.

"More than 300 networking proposals were received for the 2006 event"

Networking sessions

  • provide a meeting place for communities that possibly never worked together before.
  • allow topic, format and content to be defined by stakeholders
  • complement the ICT 2008 conference and exhibition, by bringing together people interested in a specific topic to discuss project ideas, research activities or partnerships
  • are less formal discussion groups than the official conference sessions, encouraging active participation and lateral thinking
  • are open to everybody who wishes to attend.

Proposals for networking sessions are welcome in the following areas:

  • all scientific and technological subjects directly related to ICT;
  • all components of FP7 (Cooperation, Ideas, People and Capacities), CIP, as well as for relevant topics related to EU ICT policies, including lead markets and international cooperation, provided they meet certain criteria.
